One of three coal-fired electrical generating stations southeast of Pueblo is down for repairs.
Much of the cooling tower at the Comanche 2 station collapsed last Thursday night. It will be shut down for several weeks. The Comanche complex has three electrical generating stations. The other two continue to operate.
Xcel Energy operates the complex. Spokesman Mark Stutz told News First his company will have no problems meeting electrical demand. He says this time of year there is a lull in the amount of electricity needed.
