GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Grand Junction city officials say they'll train parks and recreation employees about Colorado's breastfeeding laws after a worker told a woman to leave a pool and breastfeed her baby in a bathroom.
KMGH-TV reports Thursday that the incident happened last weekend at the Orchard Mesa Community Center pool. Jessica Coleman complained to city officials after a worker asked her to breastfeed her 13-month-old son in the bathroom.
State law allows women to breastfeed their children wherever they have a right to be. Grand Junction Parks and Recreation officials say they will make sure employees know about the law.
