IMPERIAL, Neb. (AP) - A 36-year-old Colorado woman has died in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 6 in southwest Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Patrol said Heidi Mayer of Yuma, Colo., was three miles west of Imperial about 8 p.m. Friday when she lost control of her 2004 Kia.
Mayer struck a power pole on the driver's side. Mayer, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. She was the only person in the car.
The Patrol said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
