The Colorado State Patrol says one of its troopers has been pulled over on suspicion of driving erratically in a marked patrol car.

State Patrol spokesman Ryan Sullivan says the trooper was pulled over Monday by the Douglas County Sheriff's Department south of Denver.

Sullivan says the trooper was not arrested but has been detained. He didn't release the trooper's name. He says the State Patrol is awaiting more information from Douglas County authorities.

A spokeswoman for the Douglas County sheriff didn't immediately return a call.
