The Colorado Municipal League says cities aren't waiting for the state to help them create jobs.
The League's State of our Cities and Towns report released Wednesday says cities are using tax incentives, tourism promotion, site redevelopment and "buy-local" campaigns to promote economic growth.
The report says 56 percent of mid-sized municipalities engage in tourism promotion activities, 63 percent of large cities are focusing on redevelopment projects to create jobs and 49 percent of the group's 260 municipalities dedicate resources toward economic
development.
