Colorado Springs viewing party for Olympics announcement

The International Olympic Committee will decide on Friday where to hold the 2016 Olympics. The United States is touting Chicago, one of four finalists. President and Mrs. Obama are making the case for the USA in Copenhagen, along with Oprah Winfrey.

The other finalists are Tokyo, Madrid and Rio de Janiero. If Rio is chosen, it will be the first time the Olympics have been held in South America.

The USOC is holding several viewing parties of the announcement, including at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Athletes, USOC staff and members of National Governing Boards will gather in the Visitor Center from 8:30-11 am.
