Colorado Springs firefighters are on the scene of a restaurant fire in the 59-hundred block of Corporate Dr on the north west side of Colorado Springs.
The Mason Jar restaurant was busy when a fire broke out at the back of the building around 3 this afternoon.
One employee was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation after trying to put out the fire with an extinguisher.
About 40 customers and 10 employees evacuated when smoke from the back of the building started to come inside.
It is estimated that there is about 20-thousand dollars in damage. The fire is believed to be caused by a cigarette. The fire is still under investigation.
Corporate Drive was closed in both directions for about an hour due to emergency vehicles in the area, but has since reopened.
