Colorado Springs Police searching for suspects in stolen car chase

Colorado Springs Police are chasing two suspects on foot following a short vehicle chase which ended when the vehicle crashed into a tree. Police say a light skinned black male with a short afro hair cut and a black female were seen running across I-25 between Fontanero St and Filmore heading west bound.
The event started with the vehicles owner seeing his 2001 Black Nissan Pathfinder being driven by two unknown people. He followed the truck until Police could attempt to pull the vehicle over. The suspects then failed to stop for officers leading them on a chase through the area of North Nevada near Mountview and over to Filmore where the suspects then lost officers for a short time near Fontanero Street. The vehicle was eventually found crashed into a tree near recreation View and police began to lock down the area and searching along the trail system.
The suspects are still at large now on the west side of I-25 between Fontanero St. and Filmore.
