COLORADO SPRINGS -- Police say they responded to one Burglary and Assault and one attempted Burglary on Saturday night.

One male suspect kicked in a door of another man's apartment in order to find his girlfriend at 112 South 28th Street around 6:30 p.m., police say. The suspect assaulted both his girlfriend and the man in the apartment. When officers arrived, the suspect - 50-year-old George Kale - had visible injuries to his head.  He was arrested and charged with Burglary and Assault, according to police.

Around 7:30 p.m., police responded to someone's report of a Burglary in progress near the 5000 block of Nolte Drive North. One person reported that two men - one possibly with a gun - went into a backyard. One of the men knocked on the back door to check if someone was in the house. Then, the citizen said they tried to break into the home. When officials arrived and approached the two suspects, one of them became resistant, according to police. When they were able to detain the men, they recovered a pistol. The suspects were charged with Attempted First Degree Burglary, Conspiracy, Possession of Weapons by Previous Offenders and Obstructing a Peace Officer. They are not releasing the suspects' identity.
