Colorado Springs police looking for two armed robbers in separate incidents

Colorado Springs police are looking for two men that robbed local convenience stores in separate scenes, both men threatened people with handguns.

The first robbery was at the Diamond Shamrock store at 4825 Galley Road just before midnight Friday. A man walked in and pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the clerk, according to a CSPD report. No one was injured. Police say their suspect is a while man in his thirties, about 5'8" with a slender build. The man had blonde hair and a full, blonde beard; he was wearing blue jeans and a blue hooded sweatshirt.

The next robbery happened after one a.m. Saturday at the Loaf and Jug store at 4770 Drennan Road. Police say a man walked in, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect also pointed his gun at a customer and told them to give up their cell phone. No injuries were reported. The suspect was a black male between 20 and 25 years old, around 5'4" to 5'6", and about 140 to 160 pounds. The man was wearing a blue bandana to cover his face, jeans, and a black hooded sweatshirt.
