Colorado Springs man killed in Wyoming accident

A Colorado Springs man was killed yesterday morning when his vehicle rolled over in Wyoming.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) says 29-year old Jesse Ricks was northbound on I-25 about 30 miles north of Casper Monday around noon when he lost control of his vehicle.

The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway in a broadside slide and went down a steep embankment where it rolled two complete times.

Troopers say Ricks got out of his car and told a witness that he was "OK", but when emergency crews got on the scene, Ricks had collapsed and was not breathing. The Trooper began CPR however, Ricks was pronounced dead on-scene by responding paramedics.

The roadway was slushy and wet at the time of the accident.
