Colorado Springs Man Carjacked and Stabbed in Hand

Colorado Springs, CO - The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred this morning around 4:35 a.m. where a man reported being carjacked at the intersection of La Salle Street and and Monteagle Street.
When officers arrived on scene, the victim who had received stab wounds to his hand during the incident, told officers that he was dropping off his 10 year old child at his ex-wife's residence.
He left the vehicle running as he got his child out of the vehicle. A 2-door, silver colored Honda Civic with dark tinted windows pulled up next to his vehicle.
The suspect got out of the passenger door and started banging on the driver's side window as the victim was getting his child out of the right rear passenger door.
The victim got his child out of harms way to the nearby apartments and went back to his vehicle.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20's, 5'8", heavy goatee and wearing a multi-colored sports jacket and gray beanie cap, got into the driver's side door and drove away. As the suspect was driving away, the victim reached into the broken window and grabbed the suspect by the jacket. The suspect stabbed the victim in the hand with a screwdriver and drove off. At this time the suspects is still on the loose.
