Compassion International member Tim Glenn left Colorado Spring this week, and is walking through the streets of Haiti trying help earthquake victims. In an already impoverished country, the people must start over from scratch. "It's just absolute devastation. You can't walk anywhere in Port Au Prince without passing buildings that are just demolished or collapsed." says Glenn
As Compassion tours the broken nation thoughts are still with Colorado Springs Photographer David Hames who still hasn't been found. Glenn knows the odds are stacked against him. "We still believe and we're hoping for David to walk out of that building." he says, "But when you see the devastation it would take a miracle to do just that."
Even so, the Compassion community holds on to the hope of finding their lost friend. "I think when you have a friend who is caught in the rubble like this, that's what you want to do is just hang on to that hope... Hang on to that possibility of a miracle." says Glenn, " Yeah we know it's a slim chance but that's what we're hoping for and that's what we're believing in."
