Colorado Springs hammer attack victim has died

A victim of an attack with a hammer has died from his injuries.

Police say Terry O'Dell, died on Monday and his death was determined to be a direct result of the injuries he received on May 10. An autopsy was conducted and revealed his death to be a Homicide as a result of Blunt Force Trauma.

Police were called to 3640 Agate Drive on a distubance call and Dennis O'Dell from Colorado Springs was taken into custody and charged with attempted 1st degree Murder. The District Attorney's Office will review the case to determine if the charges will be upgraded.

Terry O'Dell's death is the 14th Homicide of 2012.
