Colorado Springs gets chunk of $100 million grant

The Air Force Academy and Colorado College will benefit from a $100 million federal grant to upgrade broadband in Colorado.

Colleges, universities, libraries, schools and underserved communities will all receive high-speed internet access.

Gov. Bill Ritter will announce details at a Monday afternoon news conference. According to the governor's office 1,700 K-12 schools, 15 community colleges, 26 libraries, and three universities and colleges will benefit from the grant.
