Colorado Springs boasts two college hockey All Americans

Members of the Colorado College and the US Air Force Academy hockey teams have been selected as All Americans. CC's sophomore forward Jaden Schwarz was named to the All-America First Team West and the Academy's senior defenseman Tim Kirby was selected for the All-America Second Team East.

Kirby is just the fourth player in Academy history to become an All American. Meanwhile Schwartz is currently playing hockey in the NHL for the St. Louis Blues. He signed with the team two days the college season ended.

The last CC player to be named an All American was center Chad Rau in the 2008-2009 season.
