Colorado Springs Airman will be laid to rest Monday

A funeral service for a Colorado Springs native killed in Africa will be held March 12 at 10 a.m. in the Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel, followed by a graveside service at the Academy cemetery.

Capt. Ryan Hall, 30, was one of four Airmen killed Feb. 18 when their U-28 aircraft crashed near Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa.

Hall was a native of Colorado Springs and a 2000 graduate of Pine Creek High School. He then attended the Citadel, graduating in 2004, and was commissioned into the Air Force via the Reserve Officers' Training Corps.

He was assigned to the 319th Special Operations Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Fla., and deployed to Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
