A solar power array is now generating electricity at the Colorado Army National Guard's readiness center in Grand Junction.

The guard says it provides enough power to offset 450,000 pounds of carbon emissions.

The 172-kilowatt system was installed by Bella Energy. Bella is based in Louisville, Colorado.
