DENVER (AP) - Three people wounded in the shooting that killed 12 people at a Colorado movie theater are asking for access to sealed court documents.

The Denver Post reports the victims - Brandon Axelrod, Denise Traynom and Joshua Nowlan - want to look at the arrest- and search-warrant affidavits, which would reveal details about how authorities believe the crime occurred. They also want to see transcripts of 911 calls made from the theater the night of the shooting.

Their attorney says they need access to the information to pursue their lawsuit against Cinemark USA Inc. The suit alleges the exit door the gunman used to enter the building should have had an alarm.

Twenty-four-year-old James Holmes is charged in the July 20 shooting that killed 12 and wounded 58.
