Our state will get its first doses of the H1N1 vaccine, late next week. The state health department says it expects an initial shipment of 53,800 doses, and the vaccines will be made available to Denver area hospitals and front-line emergency workers across the state.

This first batch will be the FluMist type of vaccine, but later doses will include the injection forms of the H1N1 vaccine. Those shipments will go to private doctors and public health agencies throughout the state.
