Colorado man killed in Utah crash

The Utah Highway Patrol says a Colorado man was killed and his sister was seriously hurt when a tire blew out and their pickup truck crashed on Interstate 70 near the Colorado state line.

Troopers say Dustin Donald Thompson, 36, of Windsor, died after he was thrown from the 2008 Ford F-250 as it rolled over in the median just before 2 p.m. Sunday about two miles west of the state line.

His 26-year-old sister was driving at the time. Authorities say she's from Glenwood Springs, and was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, with serious head and neck injuries. Her name wasn't made public.
