ERIE, CO - Colorado based firearm magazine manufacturer Magpul Industries has sent a letter to Governor John Hickenlooper (D) Denver urging a veto on House Bill 1224, the high-capacity magazine ban.
The letter, sent by Magpul's attorneys, claims the new legislation has unconstitutionally vague language that restricts the sale, possession, inheritance and transfer of all firearm magazines; the bill bans possession, "bans the possession, sale and transfer of certain existing firearms," and will be "virtually impossible to implement and enforce."
The bill passed the state senate on Monday. Magpul has publicly stated that it will leave the state if the bill becomes law.
