Colorado Secretary of State Bernie Buescher says state lawmakers will have to fix several state laws on campaign finance.
He says the changes are required by a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that businesses and unions should be allowed to directly spend unlimited amounts of money to produce and run their own ads for campaigns.
Buescher says one issue that needs to be addressed is whether companies based in foreign countries should be allowed to influence Colorado elections.
Buescher said Wednesday he personally doesn't think it's a good idea.
