Colorado kids get their flu shots

Colorado children are twice as likely to be vaccinated for seasonal flu than children across the country, with 60 percent of kids being immunized.  For the H1N1 swine flu, the vaccination rate is 32 percent.

That's according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Adults also lined up for their shots--combined rates that look at children and adults show Colorado's seasonal flu vaccination rate at 42.6 percent. The H1N1 combined rate is significantly lower, just 14.8 percent compared to 13.6 percent nationally.
