FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A Fort Collins hairstylist with failing kidneys says she was near death when a client of hers saved her life with a kidney donation.

Twenty-eight-year-old Sheena Coatman says she went on dialysis in the spring of 2010 and prayed for a donor. Months later, she was still waiting - and talking about her health problems with her clients at Buzz and Bliss salon.

One of her clients, 27-year-old Nick Wilkin, decided to find out if he was a match. He was.

The transplant was done in early December. Broadcaster KUSA-TV reports that both Coatman and Wilkin are doing well after the transplant. Coatman says Wilkin will get free haircuts for life.
