Crews are expected to drop water on hot spots around the Duckett Fire burning near Westcliffe today.
Responders say that fire is now 80% contained. Overnight, residents in south Pueblo County reported smelling smoke from that fire.
The Young Hallow Fire burning on Fort Carson should be close to completely out this morning. Wednesday night, the Mountain Post was reporting it was 90% contained.
Firefighters in Boulder County are responding to two new fires sparked by lightning Wednesday afternoon.
The sheriff's office there says they are burning near Lyons, north of Boulder.
As of Thursday morning, the fires had burned between 20 and 30 acres. People in 15 homes are on standby in case they need to leave.
A fire that started Sunday in Left Hand Canyon in Boulder is now 95% contained. It burned 60 acres.
