COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado College scored twice in the first period and held on to beat St. Cloud State 3-1 Friday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Alexander Krushelnyski and Scott Winkler had a goal and an assist apiece for the eighth-ranked Tigers (13-7-1, 10-5-0), who were outshot 33-26. Colorado College is 11-0 when leading after two periods.
Nick Dineen also had a goal, while Tigers goalie Josh Thorimbert made 14 of his 32 saves in the third period.
Nick Jensen had the only goal for St. Cloud State (8-11-4, 5-7-3) on the power play at 14:04 of the second period.
Ryan Faragher had 23 saves for the Huskies.
