TODAY: Snow showers come to an end. By later in the day high temps will only reach about 20 degrees in the Springs and 22 degrees in Pueblo. By afternoon skies should begin to clear a bit which means temps will drop rapidly after the sun sets.
WEDNESDAY: If you are headed back to the office, or perhaps out for some shopping and if it will be a cold start to the day with temps in the single digits and wind chill values below zero at times! Later in the day highs will only be around the 30 degrees mark for Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Skies will be partly sunny with lighter winds compared to Christmas Day.
THURSDAY: Another storm is headed for the state and that means more snow in the high country and a chance of even some more snow locally afternoon. Snow showers will become more likely during the day for the ski resorts and by evening even across the mountains close to home. There is a slight chance for a shower or two at the lower elevations as well, but as of right now it is only a 10-20% opportunity.
FRIDAY-SUNDAY: Behind that next storm system the weather will stay rather chilly, but it will be dry as we get ready to wind down the year. Temps on Friday will be in the upper 30's in the Springs and around 40 in Pueblo with partly cloudy skies. More sunshine and not quite as brisk for the Saturday and Sunday. Temps both days will be in the lower to middle forties for Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
From all of us at News 5 we hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful and safe Christmas!
