Expect a nice night ahead with mostly clear skies overhead, cool temps, and a light and variable wind. Southern Colorado will warm up once again Monday with highs in the 60s and 70s. It will be breezy out as well with a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening.
A storm system moves in Monday night changing rain over to snow overnight into Tuesday morning with the snow tapering off by Tuesday afternoon. Accumulating snow is likely for the mountains plus the Palmer Divide with 8 to 14" possible. The Springs looks to pick up anywhere from 4 to 8" with Pueblo possibly getting around an inch of snow. Travel will be dangerous between the Springs and Denver Tuesday morning through Tuesday night due to high winds, accumulating snow, and low visibility from blowing snow.
Tuesday's storm will move away quickly allowing for a quieter weather pattern to take hold for the remainder of the week with highs warming back into the 50s and 60s as early as Thursday.
