Cold and snow remind drivers to prepare

Tire shops were busy Tuesday, as drivers across Southern Colorado brought in their cars to get the tires checked, and in some cases, changed.
The taste of winter that hit right at the end of Summer serves as a good reminder for us all. Winter is not far away, and it is important to make sure your vehicle is ready for the conditions.
Along with making sure your tires are up to par, it is a good idea to check your vehicle's emergency kit, just in case you get stranded in a severe storm.
