You may begin to see a rise on the price of your daily cup of coffee.
Local coffee importers at Barista Espresso say the largest coffee producing countries in the world are in Brazil, Vietnam, and Colombia. That's were they get their coffee, but they say right now prices are going up.
Last year Brazil, by far the world's leading coffee producer, had a bad crop and they're still trying to recover. This year it's Vietnam having trouble with their crop.
Local importers say those problems eventually make their way back to the consumer.
"We're paying those prices right now, so within the next month or two you're going to see an increase in the cost of your espresso drink or your coffee drink, on the gourmet side," says Scott Hill, an employee of Barista Espresso.
Hill says you'll probably see an increase on mass produced, popular brand name coffees at your local store. However, he says that increase may not be as large as with the gourmet coffee brands.
