Software code writers will gather at DeVry University in Colorado Springs and other locations across the country this weekend to write software for charities.

It's called the National GiveCamp and will benefit about 120 charities that need specialized software and don't have the means to pay for its development.

The Colorado Springs GiveCamp event will help the Crossfire Ministries for Colorado Springs.

The 14 U.S locations are: Austin, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; Birmingham, Alabama; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Dallas, Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; Houston, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; Dallas, Pennsylvania; Fayetteville, Arkansas; New York City, New York; Malvern, Pennsylvania; Redmond, Washington; and Clayton, Missouri.
