DENVER (AP) - Republican lawmakers say their efforts to help Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper promote a business-friendly environment have been stifled - by Democrats.
They say Senate Democrats killed Republican-sponsored bills aimed at easing business regulations. Democrats argue that Republicans should've done a better job of getting support from the business community.
Republicans brought up the issue this week during the presentation of a quarterly forecast on the state's fiscal health.
Hickenlooper spokesman Eric Brown says the governor is committed to cut red tape even if there's no legislation.
