Clerk gives man wrong lottery ticket, but it's a $100K winner

A New Jersey lottery winner can't believe his luck after a clerk gave him the wrong scratch-off ticket. It turned out to be a $100,000 winner.

The man, a regular customer of the Indian Fields Market in Bridgeton, doesn't want to be identified. He walked into the market asked for a Deuces Wild scratch-off lottery ticket Monday night. Amber Johnson was behind the counter. She accidentally gave him an Aces High ticket instead. It was an honest mistake; both scratch-offs were poker-themed.

Johnson noticed the mistake and went running after the customer, but her boss told her to stop. "Let him go. Maybe it was meant to be," said Dominic Galle. He was right.

The man wouldn't be gone for long. He walked back in an hour later with a $100,000 winning ticket.

The winner did let the clerk know that he would give her $1,000 for selling him the ticket. Not a bad pay off for a foul up.
