The Pikes Peak Chapter of the American Red Cross will be offering a class for military families to cope with deployment.
Coping With Deployments: Psychological First Aid for Military Families will be held on Saturday, March 6 from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm. It is free, and open to military family members of active duty, Reserve and National Guard forces, as well as veterans and their families.
The Red Cross developed the course to address the stress and strain of deployments on military family members to include spouses, children, parents, siblings and significant others of service members and veterans. The course is taught by actively licensed Red Cross mental health professionals.
There are 20 slots available on a first come, first served basis. Contact Jaici Murcia firstname.lastname@example.org or 719-785-2724 to reserve a spot. Activities for children will be provided.
