Pueblo City Schools will try to balance its budget tonight with a goal of cutting nearly $7 million.
Possibilities for cuts include two or three furlough days for employees. That would save close to $800,000.
Cutting the central administration budget by 10 percent, that would save about $200,000. Another $200,000 in savings would come from a reorganization in the administration building.
Also the district could take $2.7 million from its reserves. Other cuts will also be discussed.
