City leaders eye sports to develop image

Community leaders met Tuesday at the Broadmoor to learn how to improve Colorado Springs using sports. The keynote speaker is Jim Morris, President of the Indiana Pacers, who helped turn Indianapolis into a sports destination two decades ago.
This ties in with a presentation by Scott Blackmun, the CO of the U.S. Olympic Committee on its renewed commitment to Colorado Springs at a national home of Olhympic level sports.
The program is called Building a Great City Through Sports.
