Citizens in Colorado Springs can now report various problem to city government using an iPhone ap.
iPhone users simply download the free GORequest application from the iTunes stone, open the app, and select an issue to report. iPhone users can also take a picture of whatever it is they are reporting, then tap submit. The app knows the exact location and sends the issue directly to the City. Users are kept up-to-date on the status of their issue via e-mail until the service request is fulfilled. iPhone users can also follow the City RSS feed for news and events to get the latest information from SpringsGov.com.
The following categories are now set up to take input from iPhone devices.
Categories are subject to change based on the most popular service requests at any given time. Other issues not listed on the mobile application can be reported via e-mail (AskCity@SpringsGov.com) or phone: 719-385-City (2489).
Any internet capable mobile device can utilize the GORequest application by going to www.springsgov.com/mobile and clicking on "Citizen Request" under "Other Mobile Device Users," or go directly to the citizen request interface by typing http://m.govoutreach.com/coloradosprings in to the web address. A mobile app for Blackberry is expected to be available in the coming months.
