A church in Pueblo West is reaching out to help dozens of families--who were affected by a daycare fire.
The Ecumenical Church of Pueblo West took in 40 children for daycare services. The children had been going to Children's Palace in Pueblo West--but the daycare was damaged by a fire last week and had to close.
"This was simply a way for us to open our arms out to the community. We're not expecting any financial reimbursement from Children's Palace. It's just a way to serve the parents and help them out also," said Randy Shade, Director of Education Ministry at Ecumenical Church of Pueblo West.
The church says it will offer its space to the daycare until it can re-open.
