When you are ready to get rid of your Christmas tree, El Paso County and Pueblo County are offering recycling services to residents.
In El Paso County you can go to any "Treecycle" location. The "treecycle" program will operate two consecutive weekends.
Saturday and Sunday, January 2-3 and 9-10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Baptist Road Trailhead - Baptist Road anf Old Denver Highway
Falcon Trailhead - Southwest of Woodmen Road and McLaughlin Road
Cottonwood Creek Park - Dublin Boulevard and Montarbor Drive
Sky Sox Stadium - Barnes Road and Tutt Boulevard
Rock Ledge Ranch - Gateway Road (to Garden of the Gods) and 30th Street
Memorial Park - Pikes Peak Avenue and Union Boulevard
Rocky Top Resources* - 1755 E. Las Vegas St.
*Rocky Top Resources will operate as an extended Treecycle site from Dec. 28, 2009 through Jan. 30, 2010.
Hours of Operation: Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Closed: Sundays and Jan. 1, 2010 (New Year's Day)
A tax deductible donation of $5 per tree is suggested. The donations will go to El Pomar's youth sports programs throughout El Paso county.

In Pueblo, city and county residents may drop off their Christmas trees for mulching at no cost January 2-17 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday-Saturday.
Vision Recycled Aggregate and Landscaping
95 Vision Lane, South of East 4th Street
They ask that participants remove all decorations, tree stands, wires or nails from trees.
Trees must be dropped off at designated times only.
Free mulch will be available to the public after 12 p.m. on Monday, January 18th on a first come, first served basis.
The Christmas Tree Recycling Drop-off is coordinated by the Pueblo City-County Health Department's Environmental Coordinator Program and sponsored by Black Hills Energy, and Vision Recycled Aggregate and Landscaping.
