Chostner sworn in as Pueblo DA

Jeff Chostner was sworn in as District Attorney for the 10th Judicial District in a 10:00 a.m. ceremony on the steps of the Pueblo County Courthouse Tuesday. Chostner, departing his role as a Pueblo County Commissioner, replaces longtime DA Bill Thiebaut and is replacing about 20 percent of Thiebaut's staff of attorneys and investigators with new ones. Chostner says he will focus specifically on cracking down on gangs and making sure criminals serve full sentences rather than plea bargain to a reduced punishment.
