LAFAYETTE, Colo. (AP) - Boulder County has ordered a chili roaster to cease operations over food safety concerns.
County health specialist David Baum says Red Wagon Organic Farm owner Amy Tisdale needs to install a sink and temperature control equipment to prevent food contamination. Tisdale says she was unaware of the need for a permit requiring the equipment.
Baum tells the Boulder Daily Camera the crackdown was ordered weeks ahead of reports of tainted Colorado
cantaloupes that have been linked to 23 deaths from listeriosis.
