STONEHAM, Mass. (AP) - It wasn't pepper spray -- but a pepper throw. Police in Stoneham, Massachusetts, report a would-be bandit pointed a gun at a store owner and demanded money from the cash register. According to officers, owner Saadat Khan calmly went behind the counter. But instead of opening the register, Khan grabbed a cup of chili powder. He tossed the spicy stuff in the crook's face and punched him, too. Officers say Khan chased the robber, but he got away.
