Child found dead in Pueblo County identified

A young girl found dead at a mobile home in Pueblo County has been identified as Desirea French. She was eight-years-old. Her cause of death has not been disclosed but is labeled 'suspicious.'
According to the Pueblo County Undersheriff, Desirea's father was also in the home. John French, Jr. was injured by a gunshot. His condition has not been released. He was being treated at Parkview Medical Center.
The pair were found by the child's grandfather.
There were no signs of forced entry into the home.
Investigators plan to release more information later today.
