DENVER (AP) - Jack Stimple pitched a two-hit shutout and Nolan Johnson drove in four runs Saturday as Cheyenne Mountain routed Wheat Ridge 12-0 in five innings in the Class 4A state title game at All-City Field.

Stimple faced 17 hitters in the game, striking out four, hitting one and walking none.

Cheyenne Mountain (20-6), the No. 7 seed from Colorado Springs, sent 13 men to the plate in the first inning, taking an 8-0 lead that deflated third-seeded Wheat Ridge (20-5).

Johnson, the designated hitter, hit an RBI-double in the first and drove in a pair of runs on a single in the fourth.
