Temperatures are expected to be above normal through the weekend, giving us weather that's more summer-like than fall.
If you're looking to get outside, without going very far, check these events at Cheyenne Mountain State Park.

GPS and Geocaching, 10:00 a.m.

Meet at Camper Services
Here's your chance to learn the basics of operating a GPS and get some practice finding geocaches hidden in the park. GPS units will be provided.
Junior Ranger Program, 1:00 p.m.

Meet at Camper Services
Complete the activities in the Junior Ranger Handbook (for ages 7-12 years) and earn a level one Junior Ranger badge. Handbooks are available at the Visitor Center or Camper Services. To become a level two Junior Ranger and earn a colorful Junior Ranger patch you must complete the handbook activities and attend a Junior Ranger program. Each Saturday a different Junior Ranger topic will be offered. Contact the Park Naturalist at 719 304-1086 for additional information.

Family Mystery Hike, 10:00 a.m.

Meet at Visitor Center
These naturalist-led hikes challenge families to solve a puzzle, riddle, or mystery as they walk and search for hidden clues along a 1-2 mile, easy trail. Recommended for ages 5 years and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
