Summer is officially over at Lake Pueblo. State Park officials are switching the reservoir to winter operations on Sunday.

That means changes in the hours; you can boat on the lake 24 hours a day all year, but boat docks close at 6 p.m. in the winter season instead of 11 p.m. like in the summer.

There are also some camping changes in the area; limited campsites can be reserved at Juniper Breaks (basic sites), Eagle View Loop (electrical sites), and at the Northern Plains (electrical sites) campgrounds. The Arkansas Point Campground will be closed this winter for a construction project to renovate the water delivery system. It's expected to reopen when the 2012 Summer season begins, March 15th.
