A single-engine Cessna 182 RG made a belly landing at the Colorado Springs Airport Saturday afternoon. Airport Director Mark Earle says the incident happened on the airport's west runway at about 2:45 p.m. Earle says the pilot simply neglected to deploy his landing gear and made a "perfect" belly landing in the middle of the runway. The pilot was the only person on-board and was not injured. There is some minor damage to the plane. Earle says the incident will not have any effect on the campaign appearance by Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and is not impacting other arrivals or departures.
