Kori Eurich of Pueblo Central High School is this week's Loaf ‘N Jug Gatorade High School Athlete of the Week.
Kori plays point guard for the Wildcats girls basketball team and she can light it up in a hurry. The 17-year old junior is second in the South Central League with 18.6 points per game. Her goal is to lead the team to a top-three finish in the league.
She says, besides family, basketball is her biggest passion.
"I just go out there and play," said Kori. "Whatever happens, happens. It is what it is. I love the game. I think that's what you need to play the game. You have to have heart and that's something I have."
Kori's goal is to play basketball in college, then maybe someday in the WNBA. She has a 4.33-that's all A's in honors classes-not one b in there. She also enjoys fishing, camping, and hunting.
