Nearly 70 percent of the Colorado College student-athletes competing in sports sponsored by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference earned a spot on the SCAC Honor Roll for excellence in the classroom during the fall semester.
To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and be a member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.
Highlighting the list of 49 Tigers recognized is a pair of men's soccer players - Brandon Ogilvie and Sean Parham - who qualified for the award all four years.
Both the men's and women's cross country teams saw 80 percent of their student-athletes earn the distinction. The men had eight of 10 runners recognized, while 12 of the 15 women were honored.
The men's soccer team had the most participants on the honor roll, with 19.
Nineteen CC student-athletes earned a spot on their respective all-conference teams as well as the Honor Roll. They are: Ryan Bing (men's cross country), Courtney Birkett (volleyball), Ezra Coopersmith (men's cross country), Allison Crimmins (women's cross country), Graham Frank (men's cross country), Max Grossenbacher (men's soccer), Nick Hall (men's cross country), Abbe Holtze (volleyball), Rebecca Lavietes (women's cross country), Devon Lucero (volleyball), Sophie Merrifield (volleyball), Seth Newby (men's soccer), Brandon Ogilvie (men's soccer), Sean Parham (men's soccer), Will Richmond (men's cross country), Alex Sowers (men's soccer), Anne Taylor (women's cross country), Leah Wessler (women's cross country), and Andrew Worthington (men's soccer).
